Lazio midfielder Antonio Candreva has emerged as a possible transfer target for La Liga giants Barcelona.
The 28-year-old has attracted the interest of the current European champions following a string of impressive performances for the Biancocelesti in Serie A over the past two seasons.
According to Italian website Cittaceleste.it, Barcelona’s international sporting director Ariedo Braida has enquired about the Italy international’s availability during the January transfer window.
The Aquile have failed to reach the heights of the 2014/15 season when the club qualified for the Champions League, currently sitting in tenth position in the Serie A table on 23 points.
Candreva cost a total of around €6 million from Udinese and has made a total of 18 appearances for club and country this season scoring six goals, one of which helped earn a 2-1 victory over league leaders Inter recently.
