Bayern Munich defender completes Juventus loan switch

Moroccan defender Medhi Benatia as completed a loan switch from German champions Bayern Munich to current Scudetto holders Juventus.

The French-born 29-year-old has had experience in Serie A during his career, having played for both Udinese and Roma between 2010 and 2014, before winning the Bundesliga twice at Bayern.

As announced on the official website of Juventus, Benatia has completed a loan move worth €3 million, with the Bianconeri having the option to sign the defender on a permanent basis at the end of the season for €17 million.

The former Giallorossi man came second place in Serie A at the end of the 2013/14 season while in Rome and was also named in that season’s Team of the Year, however the only major accolades he has picked up are in Germany.

Along with the two league titles, Bayern also won the DFB-Pokal earlier this year.
