Bechem Utd report Italian agent and club to Fifa over Ashong's transfer to Fiorentina

Newly-promoted Ghana Premier League side Bechem United have lodged an official complaint with Fifa over the 'unlawful' transfer of teenager Nii Nortey Ashong to Fiorentina.

They are also questioning how the 18-year-old got registered for the Serie A side without an International Transfer Certificate from the Ghana FA.

The club also want action to be taken against Italian agent Leonardo Guisti and the Triestina Football Club.

Centre-back Ashong moved to the peninsula in 2009 with the help of agent Guisti, who discussed with the club to try and register the player with Triestina.

United claim they agreed on a fee of 30,000 euro (thirty thousand euro) if the agent succeeds to register the player with the club, and 20% net on the transfer fee if the player is transferred to another club.

Guisti is accused of paying an initial amount of 5,000 euro as deposit, with a promise to pay the balance immediately the player is registered but he has defaulted.

Ashong played for his new club Fiorentina last weekend in the youth side's 3-2 win over AS Roma in the Italian Youth Super Cup.
