Striker Emmanuel Adebayor has finally joined the Togo national team ahead of their opening 2017 AFCON qualifier against Togo.

The Tottenhan Hotspurs finally joins up with the Hawks following a war of words with coach Tom Saintfiet.

The new Togo trainer questioned the discipline of the 31-year-old for his failure to join up with the national team camp despite having an extensive rest in Ghana.

Adebayor did not play for Togo in their international friendly against the Black Stars on Monday although he was in the stands to watch the game.

But the big name striker appears to be back in the good books of coach Tom Saintfiet after joining up with the Hawks who are now training in Lome.

“Thank God, back with the national team,” Adebayor posted with a training picture on Instagram.

The former Arsenal man had been granted leave by Tottenham to travel home early before the end of the season to help him deal with his family problems.

Adebayor had insisted that it was the reason why he delayed his arrival to the Togo camp ahead of their 2017 AFCON qualifier against Liberia on Sunday.
