Bennett Ofori aims to help Karela United FC to survive relegation scare

Karela United FC newboy Bennett Ofori has aimed at helping the club beat off the relegation at the end of the season when football activities resume.

The Aiyinase based outfit are lying 17th position on the Ghana Premier League standings and eight points away from the survival places.

Ofori joined the Pride and Passion lads in April 2020 as the club seeked to strengthening their squad for the remainder of the season with the aim of retaining their top-flight status.

The former Berekum Chelsea, Asante Kotoko SC and Medeama SC attacker told the Graphic Sports that he is fired up for the task ahead and would do his best to help Karela avoid relegation.

"I just wish to have a good start at Karela and make things happen.

My dream is to help the team get out of the relegation zone and I know I can do that,"

"I previously had a great experience at Kotoko and I learnt lots of things there before going to play in Turkey. I hope with this experience, I can help the team in this tough time."

The 27-year-old further urged teeming fans to expect the best of performances from him.

"The fans should look forward to getting the best out of me. I will give my all as I have done for all the clubs I have played for. Karela is a great team and we shall surely stay in the league," he added.
