Ghanaian champions Berekum Chelsea claim they have signed striker Ernest Papa Arko on a three-year deal, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.

He has completed his move for an undisclosed fee and adds up to the number of high-profile players that have been snapped up by the team.

The 27-year-old will leave El-Geish in January after a seven year stay in Egypt which also saw him play for giants Zamalek.

The former Liberty Professionals is said to have fallen out with current employers.

Papa Arko is said to have played in last match for the Cairo-based side on Saturday in a 1-1 draw with Al Ittihad.

''The club has completed the signing of Papa Arko from El-Geish and will be with us for the next three-years,'' CEO Nana Kwame Nketiah told GHANAsoccernet.com

Chelsea want to augment their attacking force before playing Liberia side LISCR in the Caf Champions League preliminary qualifier next year.

The Blues drew one-all with Heart of Lions at home on Sunday to end the year in fourth place on the league table.
