Berekum Chelsea say they will play in CAF Champions League.

Berekum Chelsea claim they will play in the 2014 CAF Champions League qualifiers, the club have confirmed.

The 2011 Ghana Premier League champions are claiming that the continent's football governing body CAF has increased the number of slots for Ghana.

Berekum Chelsea finished second in last season's Ghana Premier League campaign after losing out on the title on the final day of competition.

A statement on the club's website: "The club wish to announce that we have been granted a slot to play in the 2014 CAF Champions League qualifiers.

"We are delighted with the news and are ready to feature in the competition again.

"We will like to thank our coaches and players and other members of the technical team for this feat to finish second in the Ghana Premier League last season."

Berekum Chelsea played in the 2012 CAF Champions League Group stage where they finished third behind Al Ahly and Zamalek.
