Besiktas begin negotiations to sign Kayserispor star Bernard Mensah

Besiktas have contacted Kayserispor about the transfer for Ghanaian midfielder Bernard Mensah, Ghanasoccernet.com understands. 

Mensah, who has been in impressive form in Turkish top-flight league this season is expected to leave Kayserispor at the end of the campaign.

According to reports, Besiktas are leading the race to sign the talented midfielder, having missed out on signing him in January.

Earlier this week, Kayserispor President Berna Gozbasi confirmed the interest from Besiktas for their star man and according to reports, negotiations are now underway.

Mensah has scored 5 goals and provided 8 assists in his 23 league appearances for the club so far this term.

His contract with Kayserispor expires in 2022. The 25-year-old initially joined the Turkish side on loan from Atletico Madrid for 2018/19 season.

He played a total of 28 games and scored four goals. Kayserispor redeemed Mensah's buying option in May 2019.
