Black Princesses are tactically inept – Kuuku Dadzie

Coach Kuuku Dadzie has questioned the tactical discipline of the Black Princesses  following their 4-0 demolition by the USA on Monday.

The West African powerhouse struggled against the former Champions as a superb hattrick from Maya and an own goal from Linda Addai  condemned them to their opening day defeat in the ongoing FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup in Hiroshima, Japan.

The Black Queens trainer,  who coached the same side at the 2010 World showpiece in Germany says the team lack depth in quality to make any meaningful impact.

“The last time we went to the World Cup, we drew 1-1 with the US. At that time they were the defending champions,” Dadzie told Radio XYZ

“Their tactical play was not there; they couldn’t string decent passes together and couldn’t make any threatening move,”

“The team lacked the confidence needed and it’s therefore imperative they step up their game,”

“Our reaction will have to be a bit faster since that is the only way that we can make any impact at the championship.”

The Black Princesses will battle defending champions Germany on Thursday before wrapping up their group D game  against China PR.
