The female U20 team of Ghana, The Black Princesses managed a goalless draw in the first leg of their FIFA U20 World Cup qualifiers against Zambia in Lusaka.

The Princesses, who had Hasaacas Ladies stars Doris Boaduwaa and Evelyn Badu in the starting line up, were lively throughout the game but were denied by some resolute defending from the Zambians.

Badu nearly gave Ghana the lead after ten minutes but her effort went wide.

The West Africans kept probing but will go into the break without a goal.

Coach Ben Forkuo brought on winger Rahma Jafaru to sharpen the attack in the second half but the Zambia team defended heroically.

Afia Nyame came on late for Constance Serwaa but the two teams had to share the spoils.

The Princesses will host Zambia on a fortnight time with the winner on aggregate progressing to the final stage of the qualifiers.
