Ghana defender Baba Rahman has donated to Real Tamale United as the club prepares for their first Ghana Premier League season in eight years.

The left-back and regular for the Black Stars donated 50 balls, 50 cones, 50 bibs and 48 markers to the club based in his hometown Tamale.

Because Baba is in Black Stars camp preparing for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers he was absent from the short presentation ceremony on Thursday.

The presentation was done on Baba's behalf by his elder brother Alhaji Salifu Rahama and Northern Regional FA Chairman Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo.

Baba believes the items will motivate the club to stay in the league for a very long time considering how they struggled to earn promotion following their relegation in 2013 which ended their 33-year stay in the top-flight.

The 27-year-old before arriving for international duty signed a season-long loan deal with Championship side Reading FC.

Prior to agreeing the deal with Reading, he extended his contract with parent club Chelsea by two years till 2024.
