Ghana FA Vice president Mark Addo says his outfit will soon name a new Black Stars technical team ahead of the upcoming Afcon qualifiers and  2022 World Cup.

The Ghana Football Association assembled a technical team for the World Cup playoff against Nigeria which was headed by Otto Addo.

The technical team made up of head coach Otto Addo, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, George Boateng and Chris Hughton as technical advisor qualified the team for the World Cup after a 1-1 draw in Abuja in the second leg.

The mandate given to the technical team has ended and the Ghana FA is in search for a new coach ahead of the tournament.

Ghana's President Nana Akufo Addo has directed the Ghana FA to ensure the Otto Addo led-technical team continues until the World Cup which comes off in November this year.

However, Mr. Addo, who is also the Black Stars management committee chairman speaking in an interview said his outfit will soon announce the technical team that will lead the Black Stars to the World Cup.

“I know we are all anticipating to know the Black Stars technical team for the World Cup but the FA will soon announce the technical team,” he told Asempa FM.

“Otto Addo and his technical team did a very good job but let us see what happens. The FA will name a competent technical team for the World Cup,” he added.

The Black Stars have been paired against Portugal, Uruguay and Korea Republic in Group E of the tournament.
