Black Stars players to return to clubs tonight

Black Stars players will rejoin their various clubs on Monday night after helping Ghana secure a place in the World Cup play-offs.

Ghanasoccernet.com understands that by the close of the day, all players would have left Ghana and reunited with their clubs.

Head coach Milovan Rajevac invited 28 players but four didn’t show up. Thomas Partey, Gideon Mensah and Jonathan Mensah are injured while Felix Afena-Gyan wasn’t released by AS Roma.

Those who honoured the invitation got the job done as Ghana collected from points against Ethiopia and South Africa to book their ticket in the play-offs.

Majority of the players are based in Europe while a few ply their trade in Asia, notably captain Andre Ayew.

The Qatar-based forward scored a free-kick as Ghana drew 1-1 with Ethiopia last Thursday.

But on Sunday, his penalty goal won all three points for the Black Stars against South Africa.

Ghana will know their opponents for the final qualifying round in December when the draw is conducted.

Ghana have reached the World Cup three times in the last four editions, missing out on Russia 2018.
