Berekum Arsenals head coach Anthony Baffour Awuah has resigned from his post with immediate effect, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

Nana Awuah took over as head coach of the Berekum-based side from now assistant coach Johnson Smith before the start of the new campaign in September.

But the Gunners have struggled to grind out results after managing just a win, a draw and four defeats in six matches.

Awuah exclusively told GHANAsoccernet: "I have resigned from the club with immediate effect because of a host of reasons hindering my job as the head coach".

"The fact is I have made my reasons to my employers and they have agreed to part company with me.

"I can't cite all the reasons now but actually I have been contracted by the Sunyani Polytechnic Sports department to help them in the upcoming Ghana Polytechnic Games.

"I believe per the contract given me, I would feel better off at the school than the premier league side".

Berekum Arsenal lie third from bottom with just four points.
