Talented Ghanaian midfielder Gilbert Koomson has sealed his move to Turkey by signing for top-flight side Kasimpasa, Ghanasoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
Koomson completed the move after passing a medical in Istanbul on Monday night after week of speculation about his future.
He moves from Norwegian side top-flight side Brann to join the Turkish capital based team.
Koomson signed a three-year contract with Kasimpasa.
No official transfer fee has been stated either, but as far as Ghanasoccernet.com knows, the transfer fee should be around $600,000.
Kamsimpa gazumped their newly-promoted rivals Erzurumspor who had tabled about $400,000 for in-demand player but his club SK Brann rejected the offer.
Koomson looks to have left Brann under acrimonious circumstances after the club refused to talk to the sides interested in the Ghanaian winger, claiming all the offers on the table were not right.
The Norwegians decision not to talk to the Turkish clubs interested in the player prompted the winger not to attend Brann's training sessions claiming his interests have not been considered.
"I love Brann, I have been loyal, but now I want to leave," Koomson said week after absenting himself from Brann training.
Brann have not announced the departure of the player but Kasimpa have gone ahead to annouce their capture of Koomson.
Koomson leaves Brann after two years and he is currently the club's top scorer with eight goals this season.
Kasimpasa have started the 2020/21 season with one win and two losses in their first three games. Last season, they finished in 12th place.
Koomson has been Brann's most important player this year, scoring eight goals in 16 matches from his right wing position.
Brann have consistently rejected bids for the Ghanaian over insufficient cash demands.
