A lot of conflicts of interest have to be resolved before Josè Mourinho‘s appointment as new manager of Manchester United can be confirmed. They both have different official watch sponsors, Chelsea still own the rights to his name, according to the reports in the Independent.
The European Union’s Intellectual Property Office database confirms the Special One is registered as a trademark of Chelsea Football Club Limited. The application was received in March 2005 and is only due to expire in 2025.
Since 2006, Mourinho took charge of Inter Milan and Real Madrid, then he is expected to become the new manager of Manchester United in spite of those barriers.
Mourinho has a partnership with Jaguar as well, whilst Red Devils’ main sponsor is Chevrolet.
