Breaking news: Massive shake-up in Hearts

Published on: 17 December 2007

Hearts are suffering their worst start to the season in a decade which has resulted in management divided down the middle.

Sunday?s 2-0 defeat at the hands of King Faisal further widened the crack in the team with two factions ? one supporting chairman Steve Akwettey with the rest behind radical vice-chairman Frank Nelson.

The division was evident before Sunday?s game as both factions travelled in different directions to the game, departing from the culture of them moving as a unit to the game.

Speculation has been rife that the victim of Hearts? predicament would be coach Karim Zito but the axe looks to be falling elsewhere.

Highly-placed sources within the club have told Ghanasoccernet.com that the board of directors of the club will meet within 72 hours to sack all members of management.

The board is expected to spring a HUGE surprise in the appointment of a new team to manage the affairs of the club.

The recruitment of a new head coach of the club is on the cards with Zito expected to be an assistant to the new boss.
