Budding talents excites Ghana FA Ex.Co member Addy

Ghana FA Executive Committee Member Linean Addy is amazed at the depth of talent displayed during the Sports and Musical Jamboree organized by the Asamoah Gyan Foundation.

Twenty second cycle institutions participated in the two-day multi-sport event at the Sports Oval of the University of Ghana, Legon with Teshie Presec sweeping most if the individual and team awards.

Several Sports officials and coaches on scouting duties were in full attendance and Addy who part of the powerful 21-member Ghana FA Executive Committee lauded the initiative which offers a platform for the unearthing of budding sporting talents.

"I am highly impressed with the talents being displayed here,"  she told GHANAsoccernet.com.

"This is a very good initiative taken by Asamoah Gyan - giving the platform for students to display their talents.

"We had the Technical Director of the GFA (Francis Oti-Akenteng) here and also had the Maidens coach (Dramani) to confirm for themselves some of the players we intend drafting into the national teams.

"This is a huge investment made by an individual and I would urge that others emulate this gesture to help churn out quality sportsmen and women in future for the nation."

The Asamoah Gyan Foundation had been very active since its inception in 2011 even though its official launch is due this June.

The foundation has made logistical donations to several health institutions while also giving out scholarships to many brilliant but needy students in the country with emphasis on the girl child.
