BUNDES - Haaland stars agiain in Dortmunds win over Union Berlin

Published on: 19 September 2021

Earlier, Erling Braut Haaland scored a spectacular lob as Borussia Dortmund beat Union Berlin 4-2 at home to go into third place, a point behind Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg.

Seven minutes from time, Haaland, 21, chipped the ball over the Union goalie from the outside of the box to see off Union, who had battled back with two second-half goals.

"Erling is simply a goal-hunting machine. When he sees a chance to put the ball in the net, his eyes light up and a fire is lit," Dortmund defender Mats Hummels told DAZN.

"I was very happy up until 3-0, then we allowed an opponent back into the game who were finished," he said.

Union striker Taiwo Awoniyi scored after just 40 seconds, but Dortmund went on to score three consecutive goals.
