Burnley join race for Mainz O5 forward Robin Quaison

English Premier League side Burnley have joined the chase for highly rated forward Robin Quaison in the summer transfer window.

The Clarets are making an £8million move for the Swedish born Ghanaian, who is also attracting interest from Tottenham Hotspurs.

Quaison scored 13 times last season as the Bundesliga side maintained their topflight status.

He continued from where he left off last season, after netting in Mainz's 5-1 thrashing of TSV Havelse in the DFB Pokal on Friday.

The 26-year old Sweden international has a buy-out clause of  £14million, but Burnley are hoping an initial offer will be accepted for the attacker.

Quaison's versatility is also seen as an added advantage for clubs chasing his signature.
