As Dreams FC gears up to face Stade Malien in the quarter-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup, coach Abdul Karim Zito has emphasised the magnitude of the challenge ahead.

Following their historic achievement of topping their group and becoming the first Ghanaian side to reach this stage of the competition in two decades, the Still Believe lads are now preparing to confront the formidable Stade Malien.

Ahead of the clash, Zito acknowledged the enormity of the task at hand, recognising the quality and pedigree of their opponents.

"It is a big challenge. Yes, we have also accepted that so yes, we are preparing seriously for the encounter," he remarked.

With the first leg of the clash scheduled for Sunday, March 31, Zito remains wary of complacency, emphasising the importance of vigilance and thorough preparation as they face the former champions.

The Ghana FA Cup champions are set to host Stade Malien in Kumasi for the second leg, following their showdown in Mali, which will ultimately determine their fate in the competition.

Ahead of the crucial first-leg encounter, Dreams FC will depart for Mali on Friday, March 29, 2024, in a bid to acclimatize and fine-tune their strategy for what promises to be an intense battle on the continental stage.
