The Confederation of African Football (CAF) will not force any of its member associations to cancel its domestic competitions amid coronavirus pandemic, according to General Secretary Abdel Moneim Bah.

He said: "CAF is coordinating with the International Federation “FIFA” to support all the federations that share with us and work under the umbrella of the International Federation and take into account the interests of the civil unions and are sure of the arrival of FIFA support to help all unions under these circumstances."

Due to the spread of the deadly virus across the continent, almost all football competitions have been suspended.

Burundi is the only country that football is currently ongoing as they have not reported any case of coronavirus.

CAF have also postponed Champions League and Confederation Cup matches.

Africa has reported over 14,000 confirmed cases while 788 have died.
