Match Report: Cedar Stars lose 3–2 to Soccer Bridge FC

Cedar Stars Academy displayed remarkable fighting spirit in our Match Week 17 encounter of the 2023/2024 Greater Accra Regional FA Division Two League against Soccer Bridge FC at the Alajo Astro Turf, despite falling short with a final score of 3-2.

Soccer Bridge dominated the first half, scoring all three of their goals before the break. However, Cedar Stars emerged from the halftime huddle a determined unit.

Raphael Anaba ignited the comeback trail with a well-taken free kick in the 46th minute, showcasing his dead-ball prowess. We were awarded a penalty in the 60th minute, but Enoch Quarco’s attempt was saved by the Woodwork.

Unfazed by the setback, Enoch rose to the occasion in the 78th minute, weaving through the Soccer Bridge defense and firing a spectacular solo goal from outside the box.

The lads continued to press for the equalizer in the remaining minutes, demonstrating commendable tenacity and a never-say-die attitude.

Although we ultimately fell short, the impressive second-half performance put up by the team highlighted their fighting spirit and ability to bounce back from adversity.
