Celtic manager Neil Lennon has vehemently rubbished reports that they have agreed a deal with Trabzonspor for Caleb Ekuban.

Reports in Turkey and Ghana on Tuesday suggested the Scottish giants have reached agreement with Trabzonspor to sign Ekuban with his medical set for Wednesday.

Lennon claims he is hearing the name of the Ghana attacker for the very first time since he does not even know him.

"Nothing, absolutely nothing," Lennon told Heraldscotland when asked about Caleb Ekuban.

"I’m getting all this speculation and chat and rumours, and this is the age we live in.

"But I can tell you hand on heart that it’s the first time I’ve heard of this player. I’m not aware of any bids or contact with the player or the club or representatives." he added.

Ekuban has been linked with several clubs across Europe including Celtic, SS Lazio, AC Milan, Brighton and Hove Albion, AS Monaco and Rangers FC.

The 26-year-old made 22 appearances for Trabzonspor in the Turkish Superlig last term where he scored 5 goals and also provided 6 assists.
