The Colorado Rapids will loan midfielder Emmanuel Appiah to Independence of the USL.
Rapids coach Pablo Mastroeni confirmed Tuesday morning that the two players were headed to the Rapids’ USL affiliate.
Appiah, 22, was the Rapids first-round selection (No. 15 overall) in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft.
The Independence play UNC Charlotte on March 19 in a preseason friendly.
They will face Louisville City FC on March 26.
