Ghana defender and Columbus Crew captain, Jonathan Mensah has applauded his teammates for a strong comeback win against New York Red Bulls.

After conceding an early lead goal, Columbus Crew had to produce one of the best finishes of a game, leveling and taking the lead with 15 minutes remaining.

Patryk Kilmala gave New York Red Bulls a 25th minute lead but Mensah and has charges showed why they are champions after Darlington Nagbe leveled on 74 minutes before Miguel Berry netted the winner with two minutes left.

"The fact that we aren’t where we want to be should be enough motivation for us to keep fighting and keep pressing on. Thanks to our fans for the support, Great comeback," Mensah wrote after the game.

The Ghanaian center back rejoined his teammates after the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa.

Crew lie tenth and are at a risk of missing out on the play-offs.
