Conte to seal Chelsea move imminently

Published on: 04 March 2016

Italy coach Antonio Conte will meet with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich this week to seal a deal to make him the Blues head coach.

The move has been on the cards for the last few weeks and it now looks extremely likely that the former Juventus coach will be coaching in London next season.

According to English newspaper The Telegraph, Conte will sign a three-year deal to take over as Chelsea head coach next season when he meets Abramovich in person later this week.

Moreover, it’s believed Conte would like to bring a number of his favoured backroom staff to West London, such as long-term assistant coach Angelo Alessio, defensive coach Massimo Carrera, fitness coach Paolo Bertelli, Gianluca Bertelli, to scout opposition teams, and Mauro Sandreani as a tactical specialist and expert scout.
