"Coronavirus has really affected us here, at the moment I am home doing my personal training. Personally I do work outs at home and I also ordered bicycles on which I train to stay fit. Our manager sends us a training routine that you can do at home," he said.

"The spread is serious in Italy but thankfully non of my Ghanaian compatriots have been affected," he added.

Ghana has now recorded 19 cases of the deadly virus and Gyasi wants his compatriots to take it serious.

"Now the the virus is in Ghana, I want to use this opportunity to tell Ghanaians that Coronavirus is a serious thing, I have seen on social media Ghanaian joking with it," said the Spezia attacker.

"We have to take precautionary measures, we have to wash our hands regularly, sanitation is important, we should also try social distancing.

"One other is, when one contacts the virus it doesn't mean you die immediately, it is curable. We hope a solution is foud soon but as I speak cemeteries are getting full here in Italy," he concluded.

Emmanuel Gyasi has been in phenomenal form this season for Spezia, netting six times before the serie B was suspended.
