Cristiano Ronaldo in Courmayeur controversy

Published on: 28 January 2021

Cristiano Ronaldo was reportedly caught staying in an officially closed hotel, disobeying restrictions by crossing borders to spend two days in the snow.

The newspaper claims Ronaldo and Georgina have disobeyed the anti-COVID rules to celebrate her 27th birthday by crossing the borders between Piedmont and Valle D’Aosta.

Ronaldo was not called up for the Coppa Italia match against SPAL, where Juventus won 4-0 against the Serie B side.

He grabbed the opportunity to spend two days in the snow in the Val Veny area, and according to the newspaper, he and Georgina returned to Courmayeur, where she had celebrated last year, and stayed in an officially closed hotel.

The two, who reportedly also enjoyed a snowmobile ride, have not been fined, but were revealed by a video on social media that was taken down immediately.
