Crystal Palace duo handed national team call-ups

Crystal Palace duo Jordan Ayew and  Cheikhou Kouyate will be in action for their respective national teams during the FIFA International window.

Jordan Ayew is currently in the camp of the Black Stars whilst Cheikhou Kouyate joins the Terranga Lions of Senegal.

Ghana engages Morocco in Rabat on Tuesday and the Crystal Palace forward is expected to captain the Black Stars in the absence of his brother Jordan Ayew.

Ayew made his first senior appearance for Ghana in 2010, a 3-0 win against Swaziland.

The 29-year-old has gone on to make 64 appearances and scored 18 goals for his country.

The Black Stars take on Morocco and Ivory Coast in preparation for the World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Ethiopia in September.

Kouyate’s Senegal face Zambia and Cape Verde in international friendlies before their World Cup qualifiers against Togo and Congo in September.

The 31-year-old made his international debut in February 2012 in a 0-0 draw against South Africa.

The former West Ham player has made 67 appearances for his country and scored three goals.
