Ghana striker David Accam must pass a late fitness test to be ready for Chicago Fire's clash against New York City on Sunday.

Accam, 24, has been sidelined for the past two weeks with a knee sprain.

The former Helsingborg attacker has resumed full scale training with the Major League Soccer side ahead of their league meeting this weekend.

And coach Veljko Paunović has revealed a decision will be taken in the course of the week regarding the availability of the Ghanaian.

“David Accam is in a final phase of recovery. We will see if he can be ready for Sunday at NYCFC. We'll update status later in week,” he said

Accam has bagged two goals for Fire this season.
