Diego Costa to ratify his agreement with the Spanish treasury on Thursday

Published on: 29 May 2020

Diego Costa will go to court on Thursday, June 4 to ratify before the judge the pact he reached on August 8, 2019 after the public prosecutor's office accused him of tax fraud.

The prosecutor has asked for the Atletico Madrid striker to be given a fine of 507,208.38 euros and a six-month sentence.

Back in 2019, Costa reached an agreement to pay 1,142,888.51 euros for a debt dated back to 2014, when he left Atletico to join Chelsea.

Thus, the issue will be resolved definitively in court next week and it will not prevent the player from focusing on the return of LaLiga Santander.
