Aduana Stars striker Bernard Don Bortey has failed to report for training sessions this week without an official permission, GHANAsoccernet can confirm.

The former Hearts of Oak talisman is believed to have left camp after their 1-0 win at Tema Youth last Sunday.

"It is true he has not reported for training sessions the whole of the week and has not sought permission from any quarters of the club" the club's General Secretary Frank Kumi confirmed to GHANAsoccernet.com

"I will write officially to him on Thursday and ask his reasons for deserting the club without an official notice."

He added: "As at now we don't actually know what his problem is because we have not received any grievance or whatsoever from his so we are waiting to ascertain that after we write to him".

Don Bortey also confirmed he left the team after the Tema Youth fixture.

"Am currently not with the team but It is not true that I have deserted the camp, I don't want to speak about anything because I have to do that to the management of the club".

Don Bortey has been an integral part of the Dormaa-based side since helping them to win the 2009/2010 league title on their debut season in the Ghana top-flight.
