Ex-Ghana international Nii Odartey Lamptey insists he would not advise any young footballer to begin their career in China.

According to Lamptey, he would rather suggest players move to China at the twilight of their careers.

The Chinese Super League has attracted several stars in recent times, with Ghanaian duo Frank Acheampong and Emmanuel Boateng part of the bandwagon. In January Mubarak Wakaso also moved to the Asian country.

“I won’t advice you to start your career in China, you can end it there. You can get a lot of money from there,” he told Accra-based Joy FM.

With big names like Brazilian stars Hulk and Oscar, Belgium duo Moussa Dembele and Maroune Fellaini and amany others, it has become easy for players to move to China.

Lamptey who had the world to his feet at the 1991 U-17 World Cup started his career in Europe with Belgium giants Anderlehcht, before moving onto play for the likes of PSV in the Netherlands and Aston Villa in England.
