Dr Nyaho Tamakloe tells GFA boss Kurt Okraku to 'talk less and work more’

Former Ghana FA Chairman Dr Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe has advised incumbent Kurt Okraku to spend less time talking and more time working to make his tenure a success.

“I have not really studied him much but I will advise him to do less talking and rather do a lot of work,” Dr Nyaho Tamakloe told Ace Broadcaster Bridget Otoo on Metro TV’s One on One, when he was asked whether Okraku has so far lived up to expectation.

Okraku cited completed projects such as the expanded GFA Technical Directorate, improved communications and media relations, investments in women's and juvenile football, development of young referees through the Catch-Them-Young refereeing policy, and capacity building for coaches as examples of his administration's good work thus far in a recent interview with GTV Sports Plus.

The Ghana Premier and other domestic leagues, on the other hand, continue to face sponsorship and organizational challenges.

Okraku and his team are expected to step up efforts to secure headline sponsors for the leagues in order to generate more funding for the development of the local game, as some clubs continue to play at venues with poor security and bad pitches, fail to pay players on time, and are victims of bad officiating.
