The Elections Committee of the Ghana Football Association has suspended indefinitely, the election for the position of Chairman of the Eastern Region Football Association.

This was after S.C. Hikari and their supporters filed an interlocutory injunction today restraining the process from going ahead on Monday, September 12.

The Elections Committee had fixed Monday for the selection following Thursday's dismissal of an interlocutory injunction by an Accra High Court.

Incumbent, Lawal Abdul Ganiyu and Nana Kwadwo Budu II were to contest to represent the region on the GFA Executive Committee.
