Ghanaian youngster John Ofori Asante is set to undergo trials at Spanish club Elche, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The 19-year-old will travel to Spain on Wednesday to take a two-week trial at the Spanish La Liga outfit.
The young midfielder currently plays in Ghana’s second tier club Deportivo.
Asante has grabbed the attention of Elche officials following his exploits with the Asokwa-based side.
The Elche hierarchy including manager Fran Escriba want to take a closer look at the player before taking a definitive decision on him.
Clubs in England are aslso said to be interested in the player who is nicknamed ‘Ronaldo’.
