Ghana youth midfielder Enoch Adu Kofi has helped his Danish side Nordsjaelland to finish second in the league at the halfway stage.

The 21-year-old speaks of his desire to play in the Uefa Champions League next season and on the Black Stars ahead of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations finals in an interview with www. footAfrica365.fr

Adu, what is your assessment of the first half of the season?

EAK: It really takes a lot of fun playing together and in addition the results followed. It's really good. We ended up second with five points ahead of third. The aim is to qualify for the Champions League. We hope to stay there until the end.

Precisely, what are your goals for the rest of the season?

EAK: We are second with four points behind FC Copenhagen, inevitably it will be hard, but our victory at home in the league taught us that we could compete.

We are at a time when the title can be a goal, but as I said, the key is to ensure our place in the Champions League. There are still challenges to face.

The game against Midtjylland was very good for both the team and for me, unfortunately, we failed to win.

It could have been a turning point. We must stay focused until at the end.

Let's talk about you. What is your assessment since July and your ambition for the rest of the season?

EAK: I thank God for my incredible start to the season. Since July, I am in great shape, and despite my injury, I played every game that I made ??progress, and I will continue to do so. I'm really pleased with this success.

I was named Man of the Match five times. It's fantastic, but it would have been impossible without the collective effort.

To play the Uefa Champions League with Nordsjaelland is a goal. This club have believe in me and it would be a pleasure to play in the competition in its colors.

By then, FC Barcelona will be interested in me (laughs).

What has changed between Adu playing at Nice, and Adu's current form with FC Nordsjaelland?

EAK: When I arrived in Nice, I was young and early in Europe have not been easy. I had a lot to learn but I did not get playing time and with no playing time it is very difficult to show something.

As soon as I arrived at Nordsjaelland,I was offered playing time and I quickly gained confidence in me.

Every game, I had to prove that the coach made ??the right choice in my tenure.

What were your feelings in the early season of your old club?

EAK: It is very difficult. In Nice, there was often good and not so good seasons, but the club have always managed to escape. This season is difficult, but we must not lose faith.

What are your feelings on the Black Stars?

EAK: Of course, I hope to defend the colors of my country to the CAN, but I have not yet been called, so it will not be easy.

But I will continue to work hard in anticipation of a selection. It's a dream and I hope it will soon become reality. The whole country is behind them, they are favorites.

To me, they will win the title with relative ease if they work hard, serious and take the games one after the other.
