Enyimba FC goalkeeper Fatau Dauda foresee a stern battle against Bidvest Wits in the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup clash though he’s counting on experience to help his club overcome the challenge.

The People’s Elephant have been drawn against South African side Bidvest Wits in a two-legged playoff for a place in the group stages of the CAF’s second-tier club competition.

And Fatau Dauda, who spent two years in South Africa – playing for Orlando Pirates and Chippa United, is envisaging a difficult tie against the Clever Boys but says his experience playing in the Rainbow country will come to bear in the two-legged clash.

“I have played in South Africa and I know how they play their football so I know Bidvest very well and even last year they won the league and they are very good side, so with determination and hardworking we shall progress to the next stage,” the Ghana international declared on Happy FM.

“We know is one of the tough match in the draw but we will work hard to qualify to the quarter finals.”

“Irrespective of how good we are, they will try to eliminate us but trust me, we’ll work extra hard to pick the sole ticket,” he concluded.

Enyimba defeated Beninois side Energie FC 5-2 on aggregate while Bidvest Wits overcame Angolan outfit Clube Desportivo 1º de Agosto.

Bidvest Wits meanwhile, have Edwin Gyimah in their ranks.
