Ex-Black Queens captain Adwoa Bayor has lauded the Women’s League Board for an improved league this season.

The former Africa Female Footballer of the Year winner increasing the number of teams in the league as well as sectorial arrangement has increased the competitiveness of the league.

“During our time, the teams were not many but we have twenty teams now which is impressive. It has increased the competitiveness of the competition,” she said.

“It will also prepare the players properly for national assignments since they are now playing more matches.

“Playing 18 matches as well as the knockouts will develop the plyers well,” she added.

The number of teams in each zone was increased from six to ten at the beginning of this season.

Adwoa, however called for the introduction of a top four Gala to precede the season.
