Ex-Black Stars forward Ibrahim Tanko eyes Black Stars coaching job

Former Black Stars forward Ibrahim Tanko has revealed his intentions of coaching the senior national team whenever the opportunity is given.

The former Borussia Dortmund striker has been jobless since ending his marriage with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon and has disclosed his intentions of coaching the Ghana senior national team.

Speaking to Joy FM, Tanko said he is ready to work with any team but has a dream of coaching the Black Stars in his life time.

“Of course it is the dream of every coach to coach the Black Stars likewise myself. It is my dream to one day coach the Black Stars and I know that dream will come to pass one day,” Tanko said.

Tanko was the assistant coach of SC Freiburg in Germany before moving to Japan to Urawa Red Diamonds in the same capacity.

He returned to Germany as an assistant coach and head scout for FC Koln before moving to Cameroon as the assistant coach of the Indomitable Lions.
