Former Ghana striker Prince Tagoe will be participating in a charity event later this month to help raise funds for the promotion of education in the Volta Region.

The former TSG Hoffenheim man who played for Ghana at the 2010 World Cup is expected to play in a local football gala in Afife being organized by the Universal Child Care Foundation on December 26.

The initiative is being used to raise funds to promote education in Afife and its environs in the Volta Region.

Former Tottenham Hotspurs Emmanuel Adebayor has also pledged his support for the event through his SEA Foundation.

The Togo striker said: “It feels good to see other Africans trying to fight and make Africa a better place.

“Universal Child Care Foundation was created by the great Prince Tagoe, who was inspired by the SEA Foundation.

“Then it is through this inspiration that both Charities are joining forces to promote education In the Volta Region to bring positive.”

This is one of many charity events being lined up by current and former Black Stars players to mark the Christmas and New Year festivities.
