Ghanaian midfielder Kwame Bonsu has began training with Asante Kotoko, according to media reports.

Bonsu, 23, was deported to his native country after his incarceration for rape and assault in Sweden while on the books of Allsvenskan side Gefle IF.

A Swedish woman named Maria Magnusson is believed to have framed up and decided to find a way to grab a final booty from the Ghanaian midfielder.

Bonsu who was initially jailed for two years had his sentence reduced to a year and ten months, but after just a year, the midfielder was freed.

According to reports in the media, the former Heart of Lions midfielder has commenced training with giants Asante Kotoko as he looks to relaunch his career.

He was spotted at the club's Adako Jachie training ground on Wednesday morning.

The reports further suggested that the Porcupine Warriors are currently in talks with Bonsu's management to grab his signature to augment their current squad.
