Ex-Ghana FA boss Lepowura MND Jawula is pleading with the Federation to reduce the heavy punishments meted out to Ebusua Dwarfs.

The Cape Coast-based side have been handed a 12-match home ban and an accumulated 20,000 Ghana cedis fine for crowd trouble during their Premier League game against Aduana Stars.

A number of Premier League chiefs have been unanimous with their calls for a reduction of the ban since it could plunge the club into relegation.

The former Ghana Football chief believes the punishment will condemn them instead of reforming them.

“I think the punishment is too harsh and so something must be done about it quickly,” Lepowura Jawula said

“The clubs are already suffering and so to hand out such punishment to them in my humble view is way above board.

“Yes, let condemn the fans but to make the club pay for such a hefty way because of the behaviour of a few I believe will kill of the interest of anyone who want to invest in the game.

“Let us find the culprits and punish them according to the laws of the land,”
