Ex-Ghana star Odartey Lamptey wants 'frozen' Muntari back into Black Stars

Ex-Ghana midfielder Nii Odartey Lamptey insists suspended Sulley Muntari has enough quality to return to the national team.

The Al Ittihad star has been frozen out of the national team following an altercation with a top Ghana FA official during the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Muntari attacked Medeama president Moses Armah in an unprovoked manner, which forced the Ghana FA to throw him out of the camp in disgrace.

The former AC Milan man has been adamant to apologise for his act of barbarism despite pleas from several people.

But former Anderlecht and Ghana Under-17 star Nii Odartey Lamptey has expressed his desire to have Muntari back into the team.

"I will recall Sulley Muntari if I were coach of Black Stars but for Kevin Boateng I doubt," he told Accra-based Starr FM.
