Ex-Ghana international Nii Odartey Lamptey has hailed the exploits of winger Frank Acheampong at Anderlecht and has tipped him for greatness.
The Ghana Under-20 star continued his blistering form for the Belgian giants when he scored for the second week running in Anderlechtâ€™s 3-0 win over newly-promoted sideÂ Waasland-BeverenÂ on Sunday.
The 19-year-old has stepped up to the big plate with sublime performances which continue to earn rave reviews in Belgium and the ex-international is thrilled with the progress of the youngster.
â€œI am very happy for him because he has been amazing since he joined the club,â€™ Lamptey told Radio XYZ
â€œWhen I took him to Anderlecht I asked them to take a closer look at him and after only four months, they signed him to a long-term deal.
â€œGive him the next two years and I tell you he will be snapped up one of Europeâ€™s biggest clubs.
â€œHe is young and has many years ahead of him. I have no doubt in my mind that he will excel and make it to the top.â€
Acheampong has exceeded expectations since joining the Belgian giants in January on an initial loan deal Â from Thai Premier League club Buriram United.
TheÂ GhanaÂ U20 star subsequently signed a permanent deal at the end of the season for a Thai record fee of 1 million euros.
