Anderlecht legend Yaw Preko says Ghana international Frank Acheampong has all the qualities to become his successor for both club and country.

Acheampong has got incredible speed, sublime skills and knack for scoring goals which invokes memories of Preko’s form during the early 90s.

Preko, ex-Ghana international, played for the Belgian giants between 1992-1997 and scored 27 goals in 92 appearances.

He mentored Acheampong in Ghana’s U20 camp at the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup finals in Turkey where they won bronze.

"As national coach of the U20 in Ghana I gave him a lot of advice", Preko says.

"We call him "race car" at the national team because he is just so fast. Also his timing and positioning is better now and he is ready to become my successor."

Preko is now assistant coach at his former club Hearts of Oak.
