Ex-Liverpool boss Houllier says Man Utd, Chelsea target Ibra can repeat Cantona success

Former Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier says Zlatan Ibrahimovic would be a success in England.

Off contract at PSG in June, the Swede has been linked with Manchester United, Chelsea and West Ham.

Houllier is eager to see Ibra stay in Paris and told France Football: "Ibra, his place is here, not in the Premier League. He makes the show, he is a major player in our Championship, a leader. He lifts French football up and the Parisian leaders must do everything to keep him. It would be tragic to let him go, either to England or elsewhere.

"He is so strong, of course he would succeed in the Premier League. And he has a profile like (Eric) Cantona, he would be revered there."
