Spanish champions Atletico Madrid have joined English Premier League side Everton in the chase for the signature of Ghana midfielder Iddrisu Baba, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively report. 

Baba is on the radar of Everton as exclusively reported by GHANASoccernet.com with manager Rafael Benitez looking to improve his squad on January.

Everton a planning a 10 million pound bid for the defensive midfielder in the winter transfer window.

Atletico Madrid were interested in the 25-year-old as replacement for Arsenal player Thomas Partey but failed in their first attempt.

Baba signed a new deal which has a release clause of 45 million Euros.

Atletico are ready to trigger that amount to have the Ghanaian at the Wanda Metropolitano in January.

Meanwhile Real Mallorca are considering South African Njabulo Blom as replacement for the Black Stars midfielder should he leave.
