EXCLUSIVE: Dortmund promote two youth team coaches to support Otto Addo ahead of World Cup

Published on: 18 August 2022

Borussia Dortmund have promoted youth team coaches Eren Yilmaz and Daniel Rios to support Ghana coach Otto Addo before he leaves for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively report.

The two coaches will help Otto Addo in his role of transitioning talents from the youth teams to the senior side.

Borussia Dortmund's growing number of talents at the youth sides also requires more hands, hence the decision to promote the former U17 and U17 assistant coaches.

Otto Addo has been the link between the youth teams and the senior side, and has also played a huge role in helping new players settle at the club.

However, with national duty quick approaching, the ex-Dortmund player will need the help of Yilmaz and Rios to keep the talent supply active.

Eren Yilmaz was the assistant coach of Dortmund's U17 team for several years and has also worked as head coach of the B-Juniors.

Meanwhile, Daniel Rios has been assistant coach of the U19 team for seven years and will still keep that role while working with Otto Addo.

Otto Addo will lead the Black Stars to the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in November.
